SENIOR RESERVOIR ENGINEERS

Acoustic Data is a leading provider of advanced downhole monitoring solutions for the Oil & Gas, Underground Energy Storage and Carbon Capture & Storage industries. Our innovative SonicGauge™ Wireless Monitoring System is at the forefront of reservoir management technology, using acoustic communication to acquire and send real-time BHP/BHT data from downhole to desktop.

We are looking for experienced Reservoir Engineers to join our teams in Woking, United Kingdom (closed) and Sarawak, Malaysia (open). The successful candidates will play an important role in using our data to identify enhanced production and storage opportunities for operators and to analyse data collection from our SonicGauge™ System. Key Responsibilities


  • Data Analysis: Interpret and analyse downhole data from the SonicGauge™ Wireless Monitoring System to calculate reservoir characteristics and performance trends
  • Solution Development: Develop and propose innovative solutions to optimise reservoir performance based on data insights
  • Technical Expertise: Provide operators with expert advice and guidance on reservoir management, utilising advanced monitoring techniques and technologies
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teams, including geologists, petrophysicists and production engineers, to integrate data into reservoir models
  • SonicGauge™ Analysis: Assist with analysis of the downhole data communication between gauges and surface data logger
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, data plots and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders

Qualifications & Requirements


  • UK Eligibility: Candidate must have the legal right to work in the UK (work permit or passport)
  • KL Eligibility: Candidate must have the legal right to work in Malaysia (work permit or passport)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field; a strong background in physics will be useful
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in reservoir engineering, focusing on data analysis and reservoir management
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using reservoir simulation software
  • Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Innovation: A proactive and innovative mindset passionate about leveraging new technologies to enhance reservoir management

Desirable


  • Multilingual: Specifically, English plus Arabic or Malay
